Proud to sponsor Canvey’s young football stars

Urban is proud to give a helping hand to Canvey Island’s rising young football stars – in more ways that one.

Our MD, Andy Gell, has been coaching the current Canvey Island Youth FC Under 14 team in recent years. The first season the team were together, they sadly didn’t win a single game. But during their last season, the team really pulled together and their passion and skills shone through. With the help of Andy and other enthusiastic volunteers, the boys came third in their league!

Andy doesn’t only give his time to helping the U14s. He’s also made sure that Urban Group gives the team crucial sponsorship too. Over the last two seasons, we’ve sponsored the boys’ kit, making them one of the smartest teams out there. Along with other local businesses, we’ve also sponsored advertising boards at Canvey Island Youth FC’s pitch at The Cope, Waterside Farm.
